Hello all! Hope everything has been going good for you. Its been some time since De Yi and I have posted. I have NOT visited till today. When I visited, I just remembered something.
On Sunday, 29th October, Mathilda performed a Tamil song along with Shabir on Miss Vasantham Grand Finale 2006. Unfortunately, I could not find a YouTube video for it. However, I am looking forward to a repeat telecast and will try to tape it then!

I can't believe time has past so quickly !!
It was only June then, when we saw all the people who auditioned.
From Mr Nong Nong to Mathilda..
Before I could even get over Mathilda being ousted, the finals came.
The finals and yesterday's results show was a blast!
I loved the top 12 part singing solo, and also with Rahimah Rahim.
I must say, she really is a legend ! :D
And did anyone notice our own Diva-to-be bring the house down with her Ain't No Other Man ! :D

I believe that Singapore has made the right choice in Hady.
I'm not saying that Jonathan's bad or whatever, but you all have to keep in mind that YOU make the difference.

Just something I got off a blog. This was dated back to August 18. Not sure who this person is, but thanks KarL for the source.. I hope this post will tell you voters something.. and sorry if this post offended anyone.. I've edited it..
"I'm infuriated right now.
My infuriation is simple.
Two words: Singapore Idol.
Three words: Mathilda D' Silva
Yesterday's Singapore Idol was a true shocker.
Mathilda D' Silva is out. And for those who are Idol-challenged, Mathilda is the one with the powerhouse vocals, the wondrous performances and the cool moves.
Now that she's out, I see no reason to watch Singapore Idol, for it is nothing more than a wannabe-show which has lost all quality, appeal, interest, reality and potential. For when Mathilda left, Singapore Idol just showed to everyone (audiences and contestants) that it is nothing more than a very very pointless show WITHOUT talent.
Now you might say I'm putting too much stress on Singapore Idol. It is, after all, a show. It's whole point is to entertain. But must it have 100% votes? Can't the judges decide? Based on my knowledge of entertainment contracts, Singapore has the power to alter the system of Singapore Idol without directly pinpointing the original creators, like Simon Fuller. It's a stupid concept to cast 100% deciding factor on votes alone. Because the moment Mathilda left, I realized that this is no more a singing show - it does not care whether the person who wins can sing or not.
And for once in my life, I realize, REALIZE, why democracy states that people below a certain age cannot vote. Like, below 21. Because if you let teens vote, they will all anyhow vote and throw their voting power around like nobody's business. Yes, they will do that. I say 'they' because I certainly won't.
Now, see here the fact. I'm not being stingy or whatever, but I find the 60 cents per SMS thing RIDICULOUS expensive. And the thing is, If I had the money to vote, I would definitely vote for Mathilda.
And that's when the 2nd part, the part that truly infuriates me, comes in.People actually vote for J**kim.
Now, out of all 12 Idols, ALL 12 finalists, J**kim has to be the worst. J**kim has to be the suckiest. Because his only talent is to jump around in lousy cheap clothes and hold a microphone like a wanna-be rock star. He can't even SING a rock-star. I think a lightbulb has more talent than J**kim.
Mathilda, to be honest, looks better. She looks like an adult. J**kim is a teenager. Singapore Idol? No, sorry! At least Paul can sing, AND has an image.
Horrifying. Unbelievable.
Completely infuriating.
So my conclusion is, Singaporeans are just too immature. Or at least the teenagers. They are so immature they can't even distinguish singing humans from performing monkeys. They do not realized how serious a competition they are participating in (then again, neither does Mediacorp, or J*c**tha, for that matter) and that every vote they give counts toward the future representative of Singapore and the future icon associated with our country.
Taufik has won MTV Asia Best Singaporean Artiste. Can Joakim do the same?
